J., Aug. 21 – Elmer E. Wentz, a Philadelphia insurance man, was found dead in bed at his room at a South Carolina avenue hotel today. He died before medical attention could be given. County Physician Souder, who was summoned, said death was due to heart failure. Mr. Wentz, who had been in ill health for some time, came here a few days ago with a party of friends. He was 60 years of age, and resided at 4144 Parkside avenue, Philadelphia. A son arrived here late tonight to take the remains to the Quaker City. – Philada. Inquirer. The deceased was a former Hanoverian and is survived by a widow, his second wife, who was formerly Mrs. Clara Oglesby, and a daughter of the late Mrs. Sarah Stine, of this place.
