Jacob WERTZ

York Haven, July 12. Jacob WERTZ died last evening at 5:30 o'clock in his home 
at Pleasant Grove after an illness of three years.  He was aged 59 years.  Mr. 
Wertz was born on March 22, 1867, the son of the late Phillip A. and Hanna 
PACKER WERTZ.  He leaves his wife, who was Emma S. CASSELL, of Pleasant Grove; 
three daughters, Katie M. wife of Harry AUGHENBAUGH, Strinestown; Mary J., wife 
of John FISSEL, Bainbridge, and Margie V. WERTZ, at home; four (sic) sons, Elmer 
E. WERTZ, Goldsboro; William R. WERTZ, Strinestown, John E. WERTZ, Theodore 
WERTZ, and Phillip H. WERTZ, Pleasant Grove, and a sister, Mrs. Jane BAECHEL, of 
Spry.  The funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at 
the home with further services in the Paddletown church. Burial will be in the 
cemetery at the church. Rev. E. M. FUNK, of Strinestown, will officiate.
