Wilson died at the home of her son, Howard S., in Montgomery township, on Thursday, May 12. Deceased was born in Lewisberry, York county, in 1829, and came from Wrightsville, Pa., to Indiana county about 22 years ago. Two years after locating here her second husband died. About four years ago she was stricken with paralysis of the whole right side, and for two years was not able to help herself. Subsequently she recovered the use of her leg so that up to the time of her death she could move about. "Aunt Julia," as she was familiarly known and called, both by young and old, was a patient sufferer. Her life was one of trials, sorrow and pain, but she never murmured. During the past year she was a great sufferer from heart paroxysms, which attacked her at short intervals. On Thursday night she was feeling better than she had at any time for two weeks previous; but in twenty minutes after the attack came she was dead. Deceased, early in life, gave her heart to God and united with the Presbyterian church at Wrightsville, Pa. Her piety, like her love, was not worn like an epaulette or proclaimed from the hill tops. She was tolerant, had opinions of her own, and respected those of others. She could make her church home wherever the hand of welcome beckoned, or voice of friendship greeted: because her feet were planted on that broad Rock of of Salvation -- justification by faith in the promises of God. Deceased was the mother of seven sons, three of whom survive her: Dr. H. H. Jacobs and Howard S. Wilson, of Cush Creek, and Arthur E. Wilson, of Glen Campbell. Deceased was aged 69 years. Funeral services took place on Sabbath, May 15, 1898, at 2 p.m. Indiana Messenger, Indiana, PA, May 25, 1898
