Yohe Mrs. Mary Ann Yohe, wife of Geo. B. Yohe, died from heart trouble at her late home, No. 175 McSherrystown avenue, Wednesday, May 28th, at 3:18 p.m., after an illness of one week. She was aged 82 years, 9 months and 25 days. The deceased was a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Stock, of Hamilton township, Adams county, and was married to Mr. Yohe Feb. 7, 1865. About 38 years ago the family moved to Hanover. The deceased was a woman of strong Christian character, a life-long member of the Lutheran church, and during the years spent in Hanover she was a regular attendant at the services in St. Mark’s church and Sunday school, when health permitted. She was a kindly and loving wife and mother, charitable in thought and deed. As she advanced in years, her life was mellowed and when the end came it was the peaceful passing of the spirit to the realms above. Mrs. Yohe is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Chas. Five, of York and Mrs. Howard G. Becker, at home; also, one brother, Henry Stock, of New Oxford. There are five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral Saturday, May 31st, brief services at the house at 12:30 p.m., further services in St. Mark’s Lutheran church, Rev. Geo. W. Nicely, the pastor, and Rev. S. P. Mauger, of Grace Reformed church, officiating, interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, May 31, 1913
