Young, president of The Dispatch Publishing company, died Saturday, Oct. 12, at his home in York. He was in his fifty-fourth year. Death resulted from a bronchial affection. Mr. Young had been in poor health since last winter, when he went to Southern Pines, N. C., to recuperate. While in the South he passed through a critical sickness, but recuperated and returned to York in hopes of being finally restored to health. Specialists North and South had agreed on a diagnosis, but the case defied medical skill. The deceased was the senior member of the firm of Young & ??????, Center Square cigar store, a member of the firm of owners of the Mystic Star theatre and was affiliated with other business enterprises in that city. He was a member of the Order of Elks and a Heptasoph. A wife, Mrs. Laura Carroll Young and his mother, Mrs. Hiram Young, and three brothers, survive him.
