Zartman, Smith Station, York county, died suddenly at 9 o'clock Sunday morning from a heart attack. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Lucinda Garrett Baumgardner. Her husband preceded her in death a number of years ago. Surviving are five children, Mervin Zartman and Ralph Zartman, both of Hanover; Claude Zartman, Abbottstown R. 1; Clair Zartman, Spring Grove, and Mrs. Melvin Ruby, with whom she made her home; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Harry Kessler, Spring Grove R. D. 2, and one brother, Paul Baumgardner, Hanover R.D. The funeral services, in charge of funeral director, W. A. Feiser, Hanover, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ruby, followed by further rites in St. Paul's (Dub's) Reformed church. Rev. Dr. Edwin M. Sando, Hanover, pastor of the West Manheim Reformed charge, officiated. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Star and Sentinel, Gettysburg, PA, February 21, 1942
