The Histories of the Pennsylvania and Central Pennsylvania Conferences of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, by Charles R. Miller and William L. Raker, 1968, p. 207: 
W. H. Shearer served Mt. Wolf Circuit (which included Emigsville Church, p. 320) 1889-1890. [This is before the 1946 merger of the United Brethren Church and the Evangelical Church to form the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Up until that merger, the church the Rolands attended in Emigsville was United Brethren.]
