The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. M. Heilman, of St. Matthew’s Lutheran church. The bridal couple entered the parlor to the strains of the Mendelosohn wedding march, played by Le? Frey, organist of St. Matthew’s church. The bride was given away by her father. The attendants were Miss Freda Honer, of Hanover, as bridesmaid, and Edward Black, of York, a brother of the groom, as best man. Little Miss Helen Weber was flower girl and carried a basket of pansies. The parlor was decorated with palms and cut flowers, the decorations being placed by Florist Frank E. Cremer. The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of white embroidered net over white satin and carried a bouquet of bride’s roses. The bridesmaid wore white voile over yellow messaline and carried a bouquet of while lilies. Following the ceremony, a reception was held, a large number of relatives and friends being present. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful presents of cut glass, silver, linen and china; also, several checks and gold pieces. The bride has a wide circle of friends in this place. For the past six years she has been a member of the choir of St. Matthew’s church. After June 7th Mr. and Mrs. Black will reside in their newly furnished home in New York City, where the groom is employed by the George Irving Co., wagon builders.
