Brooks – Johnson

York, Dec. 15. – Karl Smith Brooks, son of Congressman and Mrs. Edward S. 
Brooks, and Miss Elizabeth Johnson, of Clarksdale Mississippi, were married 
Monday afternoon in the Methodist Episcopal Church in Memphis, Tennessee, by 
Rev. W. Duren.

Mr. Brooks had for his best man, Stanley Jones, of York.  One of the groomsmen 
was Marshall F. Weimer, of Harrisburg.

After a reception Mr. and Mrs. Brooks left on a wedding trip to New Orleans and 
from there they will go to New York City by water.  They will be at home at 
“Brookstead”, near York.
