All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ Newspaper Unknown Handwritten “8-30-1927” on announcement A quiet wedding was solemnized at the Stewartstown Presbyterian manse on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock when Miss Mary LIGGITT, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward LIGGITT, Hopewell township and Joseph FISHEL, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew FISHEL, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by the couple’s pastor, Rev. T. Edwin REDDING. They were attended by Mrs. and Mrs. Paul G. HALL, North Main street. Immediately following the ceremony a luncheon was served at the home of the bride’s parents to the following guests, Miss Luella FISHEL, York, Miss Ruth LIGGITT, this place, Miss Doris BRYER, Robert BRYER and Bruce BRYER Philadelphia; Crodus SECHRIST, York; Mr. and Mrs. Paul G. HALL, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph FISHEL and Mr. and Mrs. Edward LIGGITT. The couple left on a two weeks’ honeymoon trip following the luncheon with New York city, Niagara Falls and Canada as objective points. Upon their return they will be at home to their friends at 812 Maryland avenue, York. The bride, a graduate of Stewartstown High school has for several years been a teacher in the public schools of Hopewell township and the groom is in the mail service at the York post office.
