STEWARTSTOWN GIRL, MARRIED - Miss Helen Louise Bender, daughter of Mrs. Blanche Bender, 
Stewartstown, and the late J. Miles Bender, was married Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Christ 
Lutheran church, Dallastown, to Sgt. Robert D. Grove, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Horace Grove, Red Lion. Rev. 
S. L. Hench, pastor, performed the single ring ceremony. 
The bride was attired in a brown two-piece suit. Her flowers were a corsage of white rosebuds. 
Guest at the wedding were Mrs. Bender, Sarah Bender, Virginia Bender, Mrs. J. Horace Grove, Walton 
Grove, Mrs. Alfred Neal and Jean Neal. 
A buffet luncheon, served at the home of the bridegroom, was attended by the following guests: Mrs. Bender, 
Sarah Bender, Betty Bender, Virginia Bender, of Stewartstown; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Day, Fawn Grove; Mr. 
and Mrs. Alfred Neal, Jean Neal, York; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Grove, Daniel Grove, 
Donald Grove, Delta; Miss Lois Kohr, Mt Wolf; Mr. and Mrs. J. Horace Grove, Gerald Grove, Walton Grove. 
Sgt and Mrs. Grove left Sunday for Camp Butner, N.C. Mrs. Grove has been working in California for the past 
year. She is a graduate of Stewartstown High School. The bridegroom has been serving in Trinidad, West 
Indies, for 22 months. He is a graduate of the Fawn Township Vocational school.
