S. A. Graybill, pastor of the U. B. church, this place, united in marriage Miss Stella Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jones, of Bachman’s Valley, Carroll county, Md., and Vernie Masemore, of near Bandana, West Manheim township. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. A sumptuous dinner was afterwards served to the guests. The bride was the recipient of many pretty and valuable presents. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, September 14, 1912 --------------------------------------------------------- Massemer-Jones A beautiful wedding took place on Sunday, Sept. 8th, at noon, at the home of David Jones, in Bachman’s Valley, when his daughter, Estella Jones was married to Vernon Massemer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Massemer, of Pleasant Hill, York Co, Pa. Miss Florence Houck was bridesmaid and John Bortner best man. The bride was attired in white satin, with hat and gloves to match, the groom wore the usual black. The bride’s pastor, Rev. S. A. Craybill, of Hanover, officiated. The bridal chorus was played by Paul Smith, of Snydersburg. After the ceremony the guests were invited to the dining room, where the table was laden with the good things of the season, to which all did ample justice. The bride received many valuable and useful presents.
