McELWAIN, near Anderson's Creamery, Harford Co., has the scene of a very pleasant wedding on Wednesday of last week. The many relatives and friends of the bridal party well filled the house, when at four o'clock; the strains of the wedding march, as played by Miss Georgia ANDERSON, were heard, and the bridal party entered the festooned parlor, preceded by the ushers, Messers Stuart KIRKWOOD, Harvey McDONALD, and Clifton McELWAIN. The best man Mr. J. Howard PATTERSON, the brother of the groom, was accompanied by Miss Olive McELWAIN, as bridesmaid, dressed in a becoming gown of white batiste, and caring pink carnations. Following came the happy couple, Mr. Samuel J. PATTERSON, and Miss Vania Blanche McELWAIN, who were soon wedded in happy wedding by the pastor of the bride, Rev. F. B. Everitt, assisted by Rev. S. M. Engle, of Bethel church. The bride appeared in a beautiful dress of point de spirit lace, over white taffeta, and carried white roses. Congratulations being given, the guests were soon reveling in a wedding feast, such as is only found in the good, old country homesteads of Harford and York counties. Many presents were left behind, as tokens of good wishes for the bride and groom, who will soon be at home to receive their many friends.
