Pickel, son of Mrs. Rachel Pickel, of Delta, and Miss Dorothea Carlton, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. James Carlton, york, were married Saturday evening at 7:45 o'clock at St. James Lutheran Church. The Rev G. E. Miller performed the ceremony. The bride wore a dress of blue taansparent velvet, trimmed in white satin and navy blue Empress Eugenie hat. She carrued a bouquetof talisman roses. Miss Nell Parker, was maid of honor, wor a brown and orange flat crepe dress with a hat to match and wore a shoulderette of talisman roses. Mr. Pickel had James Carlton, Jr., brother of the bride, as best man. Mrs. Pickel is a graduate of William Penn Senior High School, class of 1929, and was formerly a clerk in the Phineas Davis library. mr. Pickel is a graduate of the Delta High School, class of 1928, and of Thompson-s Business College, class of 1930, and is now employed as a cashier in the Hotel Yorktowne. After the ceremony a dinner was given at the home of the bride. The following attended: Mr. J. Kain, Frank Kain, Nella Parker, May Hart, Mrs. Rachel Pickel, Mr. and Mrs. J. Carlton and children, James, Jr. Ruth and Vera, and Mr. and Mr. H. J. Pickel, Mr. and Mrs. Pickel are at home to their friends in their newly furnished apartment at 702 Weat King Street, York.
