Taber ntaber@mac.com August 20, 2006, 8:48 pm The Gazette, York, PA, 1 Dec 1923 Headline: "Yorkers Married At Towson On Thursday" Clarence Roland, 133 West Jackson street, and Miss Ailene Seitz, 200 East Cottage place, were married in Towson, Md., by the pastor of the Towson Methodist church, at the parsonage, Thursday. The wedding took place at 4 o'clock. The ring ceremony was used. The ceremony was witnessed by a number of friends of this city. Miss Catharine Griffith was bridesmaid and Otho Mount, of Baltimore, was best man for Mr. Roland. The bride was attired in a Nile green satin dress trimmed with silver, and wore a silver head band and orange blossoms. Her flowers were a Dresden bouquet. She carried the handkerchief that her mother carried when she was married. A green chiffon dress was worn by the bridesmaid. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. Miss Fairie Little sang, "I Love You Truly," and the pastor's wife played the wedding march. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the Towson hotel, after which the couple left on a wedding trip to points south. Miss Seitz is an employe of P. Wiest's department store. Mr. Roland is employed at the York post-office. Mr. and Mrs. Roland will reside in their newly-furnished home on West Jackson street, upon their return. The following Yorkers attended the wedding: Miss Fairie Little, Miss Catharine Griffith, Clarence Bair, William Burkins and Charles Leedy.
