Sprenkle, a prominent physician and surgeon of Jenkinstown, Pa., and Miss Catharine Jennie Cary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ebenezer Cary, Melrose Park, Philadelphia were married at 6:30 o'clock Saturday evening at the home of the bride's parents. Dr. Sprenkel is the son of Mrs. Mary C. Sprenkle, also of Jenkinstown, and a former Yorker. Rev. Dr. Steinmetz, pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal church, Elkins Park, performed the ceremony in the presence of two hundred guests from York, New York, Baltimore, Washington, Long Island and Philadelphia. The bride's only attendant was her sister, Miss Margaret Cary, as maid of honor. Dr. Sprenkel had for his best man, his brother, John F. Sprenkel, of York. A supper was served for the families and bridal party after the ceremony. The Yorkers attending were: Mr. and Mrs. John F. Sprenkle, Clarence Smyser and Miss Marie E. Graff. Dr. Sprenkel is a graduate of the York High school, class of 1917, and of the medical school of the University of Pennsylvania. The bride was a student at Goucher college.
