A. M. Heilman in the parsonage of St. Matthew’s Lutheran church, on Frederick street. The couple were attended by Miss Tawney, sister of the groom, of Gettysburg, and Mr. Partridge, of York. Following the ceremony, a dinner was served at the bride’s home on Locust street. The groom is employed as a linotype operator in the office of the York Gazette and is well known here, being formerly an employee of the Sun Publishing Co. His home is in Gettysburg. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Barnard. On their return from a honeymoon trip, the newly-weds will reside in York. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, June 10, 1916
