All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Candace Roth clroth1229@earthlink.net April 3, 2005, 12:37 pm Source: True Copy Of Original Will Written: August 21, 1862 Recorded: February 21, 1867 "Last Will and Testament of Catharine Blessing I Catharine Blessing (widow of John Blessing) of Newberry township in the County of York and State of Pennsylvania, being in good health and of sound mind and memory - and being desirous of arranging my worldly affairs whilst I have the capacity so to do, do make, publish and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, I direct that all my just debts and funeral & incidental expenses be paid as soon after my decease as can conveniently [be] or may be done by my Executor, I give and devise to my daughter, Lydia, during her lifetime all my house & lot of ground with all the improvements thereon erected near Yocum town where I now reside, I direct after my decease that all my movable property be divided equally between my daughter Lydia and my son Jacob or their heirs, I direct and devise that all reasonable expenses be paid out of any money I may be in possession of at the time of my decease to those who may attend to me during my last illness or during any sickness and the balance if any remaining, it is to be equally divided between my daughter Lydia and my son Jacob or their heirs, I direct after the decease of my daughter Lydia that my executor expose of my house and ?? at public sale and sell it to the highest and best bidder and convey it by deed to the same, and the money received for it after taxes, expenses and costs are taken out the balance to be equally divided between my daughter Lydia's heirs and my son Jacob if he survives and not to his heirs to share equally share and share alike, Lastly I constitute and appoint my trusty friend Jacob F. Krone executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills by me heretofore made, In testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal the twenty first day of August A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty two. Krone the executor named in the said will after being duly qualified according to law, on the 21st day of February, A.D. 1867."
