Written: March 8, 1897 Recorded: October 9, 1897 "Last Will and Testament of Lillie V. Blessing, deceased. In the name of God, Amen. I, Lillie V. Blessing of Manchester Boro. in the Co. of York and state of Pennsylvania, being weak of body, but of sound mind, memory and understanding,(Priase be to God for the same)but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, I do make and publish this my last will and tetament, in the manner and form following to wit: Principally and first of all, I commend my immortal soul, into the hands of God who gave it, and my body to be burried [sic] in a descent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my executor hereinafter named, and to such worldly Estate as it has pleased God to bless me with. I dispose of it in the following manner: It is my will and I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and satisfied as soon as convenient can be after my death. It is my will and I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved friend Ella Blessing (wife of Samuel Blessing) for the benefit of my husband Charles Blessing, the house and lot situated on Main Street and all the furniture in the house except the clocks and my gold watch and organ, which she is to dispose of as she sees fit. And the house and lot situated on Cooper Street I bequeath to my Mother, Ellenora Hartman and also my parlor furniture. And lastly I nominate and constitute my husband Charles Blessing, exector of this my last will and testament and authorize him to execute title papers if any are needed. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below, this 8th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven. Lillie V. Blessing (seal) Memorandum: Lillie V. Blessing, the said decedent, died on the 2nd day of October, A.D. 1897 at or about the hour of 4:30 o'clock a.m. of said day as per affidavit of death in Book No. 9, page 123 filed on the 9th day of October A.D. 1897 Letter of Testamentary on the foregoing will of Lillie V. Blessing, deceased, were granted to Charles Blessing, the Executor, named in the said will. After being duly qualified according to law on the 9th day of October A.D. 1897. John H. Wanbaugh, Register of Wills, No 125 Filed, October 9th, A.D. 1897. A true copy taken from and compared with the original remaining on file in the Register's Office of York County Pennsylvania."
