PA, probated 1804 In the Name of God Amen I Andon Desenberg of Manchester Township in the County of York and Province of Pensylvania being weak in body, but of sound and perfect Mind and Memory blessed be Allmighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manor and form following that is to say first of all I recoment my Soul to Allmight God who give it unto me and my body to the Earth to be burried in Christian deasent manor and as touching such worldly Estate where God was pleased to please me with in this life I give and dispose of the same as follows to wit, first of all I order and impower my here after named Executors to hold a vandue four weeks after my decease and sell of my personal propperty except what I do hereafter bequeath unto my beloved wife Margareth as namely one mare the oldest one cow her choise and one heffer her choise and Hay as much as will be required for to keep them over winter and one pick her choise and all the Rye Indian Corn and Buckweat that I have now, also her Bed and bed Sted one chest one table together with all the Knives and Forks also one copper Kitle one Iron Pott her choise one Coffe ban sixteen Potts with apple Butter and also one dozen of table Spoons one pewter bason her choise and one pewter Dish her choise and also all the Ladles and Forks belonging to the Kitchen and the fire chain one Spining Wheel and one Reel her choise and fifteen pounds of the heckled Hemp and all the toe and all the hemp and flax unbroke and all the Linens and Yarns in the house and as much of the Cloth as she will want for one Cloke, and as much of the Cloth as will be wanted for a Coat for each of my three Sons also the fatt Bull and three Hoggs her choise to be for the use of my Family it is also my Will that my said Wife shall have the right to farm this my now dwelling plantation or rent the same to my son Peter but it is to be kept in good repair during all such time as the same may be rented and it is further my will that it shall not be otherways rented to any person what ever then for the thirds, that is to say my said Wife shall have the full rent or thirt share of what may be raised on the whole Plantation of Grain Hay apples cyder and so forth and to hold her right for as much house and Stable room as she will have need for during the time of her natural live that is to say if she will remain my widow, but in case she should marry she shall have the Interest arising out of said rents and the princible there of to be divided after her decease among the whole of my Children share and Share alike and after her decease I impower my hereafter named Executors to sell this my Plantation for the best price that may be obtained and to make a title there for as well as I might be able now or at the time when my Youngest Son will arrive to the age of twenty one years if my said Wife will be willing the said Plantation may be sold likewise it is also my Will that whosoever will or shall farm this my aforsaid Plantation shall cut and deliver to the House as much fire wood as she my Wife will find need for from year to year I do also hereby appoint my beloved friends Peter Mohr and Adam Lichtenberger to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year first above writen. Anthony Dessenberg {Seal} Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the above named Andon Desenberg to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witness in the presence of the testator. Valentine Kohlman John Brillinger York County SS: Before me Jacob Barnitz Register for the probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of York in the State of Pennsylvania personally came John Brillinger & Valentine Kohlman the two subscribing witnesses to the within Instrument of Writing and the said John Brillinger on his solemn affirmation and he the said Valentine Kohlman on his solemn oath do severally say that they were personally present and saw and heard the within named Anthony Desenberg sign his name unto and seal and Publish the within Instrument of Writing as & for his last Will and Testament, and that at the time of the doing thereof he the said Anthony Desenberg was of a sound and disposing mind memory and Understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief and that they subscribed their names thereto as witnesses in the presence of the said Testator and at his request, and also in the presence of each other at the same time. Jno. Brillinger Valentine Kohlman Affirmed & Subscribed by the said John Brillinger on the 12th Day and Sworn and Subscribed by the said Valentine Kohlman on the 21st Day of November A.D. 1804 before me Jacob Barnitz Regr. A true copy taken from and Compared with the original at York. J. Barnitz, Regr. Memorandum, that Letters Testamentary in common form were granted unto Peter Mohr and Adam Lichtenberger of the Estate of Anthony Dessenberg deceased; Inventory to be exhibited into the Register's Office at York in one Month and an account of their administration in a year or when lawfully required.
