"In the Name of God, Amen. I John Flowers of Shrewsbury Township, York County and Province of Pennsylvania, Senior, being weak in body but of a sound mind and memory, blessed be God, calling to mind the mortality of my body and that it is approved for all men once to die, I make and publish this my Last Will and Testament this third day of March in the Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy-two in the manner following. That is to say, first of all I commend my soul to God that gave it and I will that my body be decently interred and after my funeral expenses and debts be payed, I give and bequeath unto my dear wife Mary Flowers a black cow and a pide two year old heifer and a black year old bull, and I give and devise unto my sons and daughters Elizabeth Taylor, John Flowers, Junr., Thomas Flowers, Ann Goodwin, Sarah Long, David Flowers, James Flowers, Mary Jones, Alice Flowers, each five shillings to be paid to them by my Executrix, and I give and bequeath the residue and remainder of my estate to my wife Mary and my youngest son Aron to be divided equally among them. I make and ordain my wife Mary Flowers my sole Executrix of this my will, in trust for the intents and purposes of this my will, contained in witness whereof the said John Flowers to this my last will and testament have set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed, sealed and delivered by the said John Flowers as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of David Long, Samuel Morris, Uriah Freeland. John Flowers, his mark. Seal."
