Late of Monaghan Township deceased In the name of God amen. I Lewis Frysinger of Monaghan Township in the County of York, being in perfect health and sound mind, memory, and understanding; (thanks be to almighty God for the same) being mindful of mortality, do make and constitute this my last will and testament. First and principally I recommend my immortal spirit to God who gave it, in hopes of a joyful resurrection, and my body to the earth (when it shall please God to separate my soul and body), to be buried decently, according to the rites of the Evangelical Lutheran church. And as to such worldly estate, wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me, I give and dispose there of as follows. Item, it is my will , and I do order and direct, that all my estate, real and personal, being in York County, shall, after my decease be sold by my executor, and as I believe the fall of the year the most appropriate season to sell real property, it is my will, and I do order, and direct, that whenever the month of October comes in after my decease, after due and lawful notice has first been given of the time and place of sale by my executor, the same to be sold by him, and from the proceeds thereof all my just debts and funeral expenses paid. It is my further my will and I do order and direct that my real property be sold on the following conditions, viz. two thirds of the purchase money to be paid on the next first day of April after the property has been sold, and the remaining part in two equal annual payments, it is further my will that from the monies of said property my son DANIEL shall have one hundred dollars, over and above any of my other sons and daughters, and my grandchild LEWIS being a lawful heir of my son JACOB shall have fifty dollars over and above any of my son JACOBs children, and after my son DANIEL has received the one hundred dollars, and the said LEWIS his fifty dollars, the remaining part of the money of my estate, shall be equally divided between my sons and daughters, my daughter SUSANA being deceased, it is my will that her share be equally divided between her three children. My daughter ELISABETH- my son JOHN- my daughter CATHARINE, my daughter MARY- my sons and daughters all alike, except the rese---(?) JACOB my son being deceased his three children shall draw his share, to be equally divided between them his children, My daughter SALOME, My son DANIEL, my son ANDREW shall have an equal share- the money he owes me on settlement shall stand against him no more. It is further my will, that each of the above mentioned heirs shall draw their respective shares severally as the money becomes due, or as soon as received by my executors. It is further my will that the grain that may be sowed out on said land when sold, the purchaser shall have the one half. I do nominate my friend Michael Elicker of Monaghan Township, to be my executor of this my last will and testament. I publish and declare this and none other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal the twenty-seventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine. Further it is my will that if any of my heirs be dissatified with this my will and testament, that heir or heirs, shall have not so much as one cent of my estate, and his or their share to be equally divided between the other heirs- Lewis Frysinger signed and sealed in presence of John Kimmel William Secrist Filed June 10, 1850 Inventory of the Goods Vc. of Lewis Frysinger late of Monaghan Township, deceased.
