We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ WILL OF ANNA MARY HELTZEL OF PARADISE TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY, PA (found in volume I/J p. 426, 1798) In the name of God Amen I, Anna Mary Heltzel of Paradise Township in the County of York being sick and weak in body but of Sound Mind, Memory and Understanding, blessed be God for the same do Make and Publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following first of all I comand my Immortal Soul into the [hands] of God who gave it, and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named and as to such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give and dispose of the same in the following manner to Wit. I order that all my just debts and funeral charges shall be paid as soon as possible can be after my decease by my Executor hereinafter named, Secondly It is my will that my bed and bedstead my Cloas and all my household Furniture shall be sold by public vendue except what is hereinafter devised that is to say. I Give to my son Frederick Brenner my ten pleated pipe Stove with all and every things belonging to the same and also ten Pounds of money over and above his equal Share with my other Children hereafter named, It is further my will, that all my Estate equally be divided amonst my Six Children hereafter named Bernhard Brenner, John Brenner, Jacob Brenner, Frederick Brenner, Catharine intermarried with Peter Bob, Christina intermarried with Tobias Heltzel share and share alike after deduction as above namely the ten pounds and the ten plated Stove, it is further my will that the sum of eight pounds twelve shillings and nine pence I lent to my Son Jacob Brenner shall be Charged to him against his Share. Item it is further my Will and I order that my Son Frederick Brenner shall pay the remainer of the money I give in his hands in following manner that is to say two years after my decease five pounds and so on yearly five pounds beginning on the oldest Child till to the youngest and so on in five Pounds yearly Payment till the whole remaining Sum is paid and discharged. And Lastly Nominate, constitute and Appoint my beloved Son Frederick Brenner to be the Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all other Wills by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal this eighteenth day of April An. Domini One Thousand Seven Hundred and ninety eight, Signed, Sealed, Published, Pronounced and declared the said Testatrix as her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in her presence and at her request have Subscribed as witness.-- Anna Mary "X" Heltzel Heinrich Sundag Ki Ziegler York County SS. Before me Jacob Barnitz Register for the Probate of Wills and Granting letters of Administration in and for the County of York in the State of Pennsylvania, personally came Henry Sonday and Kilian Ziegler Esqr. the two subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing Instrument of Writing and on their Solemn oaths, do Severally say that they were personally present and saw and heard the above named Anna Mary Heltzel make her mark unto and Seal and Publish the foregoing Instrument of Writing as and for her last Will and Testament and that at the time of the doing thereof she the said Anna Mary Heltzel was of a Sound and disposing Mind, Memory and Understanding to the best of their Knowledge and belief, and that they Subscribed their names thereto as Witnesses in the presence of the said Testatrix and at her request and also in the presence of each other at the same time. MEMORANDUM That Letters Testamentary in Common form were granted unto Frederick Brenner of the Estate of Anna Mary Heltzel deceased. Inventory to be Exhibited into the Registers Office at York on or before the fifth day of July next. And an Account or reckoning in a year or when legally thereunto required.
