My will is that all my just dads and funeral expenses shall by my executor or hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by him be found convenient. ITEM FIRST. I give, devise and bequeath to James A. Gray HOWITT, for acres and one-half of land, of the lower end of the place he now lives on, with all the buildings thereon erected,and the free use of the lane to the public road, and he is today his daughter Annie Maud HOWITT $25 when she arrives at the ages 21 years. To him during his natural life and at his death its goes to his children, and his wife if she survives him has the privilege of living on it with them as long she remains his widow unmarried. SECOND. I give and bequeath to said Annie Maud HOWITT my bureau and chairs. THIRD. I give and bequeath to George Calvin HOWITT, son of William HOWITT, the sum of $10. FOURTH. I give and bequeath to Mary Kate HOWITT my best bed and bedstead. FIFTH. I give and bequeath to Annie Adaline HOWITT, my silver teaspoons. SIXTH. I give and bequeath to Nancy Emma MITZEL my other bid, and a quilt, (that has George Evans name on it) and also $10 in money. SEVENTH. I give and bequeath to Nathanael R. HOWITT the sum of $50. EIGHTH. all the rest and residue of my property real personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed of to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease (except about $20 which my executor is to provide grave stones for my grave) I give devise and bequeath to Adaline M. HOWITT. As for the balance of my real estate after Jas A. Gray Howitt guess the 4 1/2 acres. I hereby or for rise my executor hereinafter named to sell and dispose thereof either at public or private sale, and convey the same in fee simple to the purchase or purchasers thereof of. And lastly. I do nominate an appoint William HOWITT the executor of this my last will and testament. I wish Adaline M HOWITT to divide my wearing apparel and the bed close not mentioned, among and between Ann Jane HOWITT, Rachel HOWITT, and herself, and to give Hannah Susan HOWITT my table, and give John's picture to L. M. HASTINGS, and George Evans picture to Ann Jane HOWITT. In witness whereof I do said Ann HOWITT have this my last will and testament contained old one sheet paper set my hand and fix my seal this 10th day of October A.D. 1881. Signed, sealed published and declared by the said Ann HOWITT as ended for her they asked will and testament in the present of us who at her request and in her presence and into presence of each other has subscribed her names as witnesses thereof.
