PA, probated 1812 In the name of God Amen I Martin Ilgenfretz of Manchester Township in the County of York and State of Pennsylvania yeoman being sick and weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding blessed be God for the same but considering the uncertainty of this Transitory life, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following to wit, principally and first of all I commend [**page torn**] hands of God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent and christian like manner and as to such Worldly Estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit. First it is my will and I do order that all my just debts be fully discharged and paid. Item it is my will and I do order that my Family shall live together on my dwelling plantation situate in Manchester Township York County untill my youngest son Martin ILgenfretz shall arive to the full age of twenty one years and that my wife Catharina shall have the management and full power thereof during the said time and after my said son Martin obtains his age then it is my will and I do order that my said Plantation shall be prased and valued with the appurtenances by three good and onast men and the money arising from said land and building or the valuation money thereof shall be divided equally amonght my ten childreng and wife Catharina except Daniel Ilgenfretz namely Joseph, Martin Ilgenfretz and Anna Mary wife of Daniel Shribers, Catharina Crone widow Juliana wife of John Benedick Margrat wife of Frederick Dalph, Elizabeth, Sarah and Hanah Ilgenfretz and it further my will that my two sons Joseph and Martin shall and may have my said Plantation mill and appurtenances at the appresmend if thay see cause, to have and to hold to them their heirs and assigns forever. Item I further give and bequeath to my wife Catharina after my Son Martin obtaining his age the preveledgs of liven peacable in my now dwelling house during her natural life if she remains a widow also two cows her bedstat bedding and furnatur the chist and drars the ten plated stove and clock also paster for two cows one ton of Hay and one ton of second crop yearly during her life or widowoodalso the copper Kittle and as much Kiching Furnatur as she may stand in need of for her one use also twelve Bushels wheath and twelve bushels Rye, ten bushel Indencorn yearly and every year six bushels Pottators yearly a quarter of acre flax ground plowd & soed and appels for her one use and on barrel Sider yearly also half the garden ground before the house also one hundred of Beef yearly and fier wood cut and Hold to her house yearly as much as she may want for her own use and Stable room for two cows to be in full of her dower right of my Estate both real and personal, and it further my will if my said wife shold intermary again or die that all her estate shall fall back again to the estate for the use of my foresaid Childring except Daniel, I also give and bequeath to my grand child Barbara Daughter of Jacob Eicholtz the half part of all the Legacy and share which I have give and bequeath to my daughter Anna Mary, wife of Daniel Scribers to her and her heirs & assigns forever. Item I give and bequeath to my Son Daniel Ilgenfretz the sum of forteen dollars and no more to be in full of his Legacy andshare of my Estate real and personal forever. Item I further give and bequeth unto my Daughter Sarah over and above that which I have above given the full sum of fifty pounds lawful money of the United States to her and her heirs and assigns forever, and it is further my will and I do order that as sune as convenent after my decease that my personal Estate or part thereof which my family may not have use for shall be sold at public vandue and the money arisen there from shall be for the use of paying depts and reparing buildings. Item I further give and devise to my daughter Catharina Crone Widow one acre of land joining the corner of Frederick Hecks land for which she is to allow out of her Legacy the sum of twenty pounds to hold to her and to her heirs and Assigns forever. And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint John May of Dover town and my wife Catharina and my son Joseph to be the Executors of this my will hereby revoking all other Wills Legacies and bequests by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of October one thousand eight hundred and twelve. Martin Ilgenfritz {Seal} Signed, Sealed, published, pronounced and declared by the said Testator as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request have subscribed as Witnesses. The words and stable room for two cows interlined before signed. John Sharp James "X" Petent York County, SS: Before me Jacob Barnitz Register for the probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of York in the State of Pennsylvania personally came John Sharp Esqr, and James Pattan the two subscribing Witnesses to the within Instrument of writing, and on their Solemn Oath do severally say that they were personally present and saw and heard the within named Martin Ilgenfritz sign his name unto and seal and publish the foregoing Instrument of Writing as and for his last Will and Testament & that at the time of the doing thereof he the said Martin Ilgenfritz was of a sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their Knowledge and belief; and that they subscribed their names thereto (said James by making his mark) as witnesses in the presence of the said Testator and at his request and also in the presence of each other at the same time.
