Bless be almighty God for the same; I having in mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for men Once to Die; Do make ordain and publish this my last will and testament, viz, Principally and first I recommend my soul into the hand of Almight God who gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the direction of my Executor nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the might power of God; and as touching such wordly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me with in this life I give Demise and dispose of the same in the following manner. I will and direct that my just debts and funeral exppenses be fully paid and satisfied out of my Estate by my Executor herein after named. I give and bequeath to my Beloved Wife Eve her bed bedsted and bedding and chest; one cow two hogs and two sheep; (her choice) and ten dollars worth of kitchen furniture, five bushels of wheat fifteen bushels of rye and hay together with the priviledge of living on the plantation untill it shall be sold or another place be provided for her to remove unto, in either of which cases she is to leave the plantation. I also will and bequeath to her the sum of ten dollars a year to be paid to her annually for three years after my decease towards raising my younger children. I also will and devise that my executor shall buy a house and lot in same suitable sittuation with the approbation of my widow not exceeding in price the sum of four hundred dollars; of which my said widow shall have the full use and benefit while she shall remain my widow and at her decease, or marriage (if she does marry) the same shall be sold and equally divided among my children or their Legitimate Heirs. It is also my will that after all my Debts, all expenses, and the house and lot above mentioned are paid; one thirt part of what may remain of my estate shall remain a Lein on my plantation during the Natural life of my widow and the interest thereof shall be annually paid unto her by the purchaser thereof; and at her decease it shall be equally divided among my dchildren or their legal heirs. I give and bequeath to beloved daughter Sally my family Bible. I give and Bequeath fo Beloved children Sally, (aforenamed) Samuel, Magdalene, and Alexander. all the remainder of my estate, to be equally divided between them, share and share alike* Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my trusty friend Jacob Marky sole executor of their my last will and testament aand I do hereby untterly disallow revoke and disannual all and eevery other former testaments, wills, legacies, bequests, or executors by me in any way before named willed or bequeatherd ratifying and confirming this and no other to by my last will and testament.
