I do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit. I will that as ssoon as convenient after my death that my goods and chattels stock and household furniture be indifferently appraised and sold at public auction and that all my just debts together with my funeral expenses and all charges arising from settlement of my estate be fully paid and satisfied. Then I bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth one third part of all the moneys that shall remain if she be satisfied therewith, but if not I allow her to take the full extent the law will allow her. And all the residence I bequeath unto my children William Eleanor Hugh Robert Amos Charlotte and George share and share alike to be paid to them by their guardians at their several respective ages twenty one years having paid my daughters Jane Catharine and Margaret their respective shares already I allow them one dollar each and no more. And further I hereby appoint my son William B. Laird sole executor of this my last will and testament and David Wilson overseer of the same. In witness whereof I have herewith set my hand and Seal this the Seventh day of June in the year of Our Lord 1854. John W.
