In the name of God amen, I John Laird of Fawn Township York County and state of 
Pennsylvania, being weak of body though of perfect mind and memory, Thanks to 
God for all his mercies to me and calling to mind the mortality of my body and 
it is appointed to all men to die, do make and order this to be my last will 
and testament, hereby revoking all former wills, legacies, and bequeths 
heretofore made by me, declaring this to be my last will and testament to wit. 
It is my will that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid off and such 
worldy estatess as it hath pleased God to bless me within this life I give and 
divide in the manner and form following to wit. I give and bequeth to my 
beloved son James Laird the sum of thirty pounds pencelvania currency and no 
more and to my son Hugh Laird, I give and bequeth the like sum of thirty pounds 
like currency both sums to be paid when my son Robert arrives at the age of 
twenty one years and no more and further it is my will that my widow Janet 
Laird shall have the use of the plantation to live on for the purpose of 
supporting my chidren till my son Robert arrives at the age of twenty one years 
at that time it is my will that the land be disposed off to the best advantage 
and that it be squarely divided between my son John Laird and my daughter 
Rebekh Laird and Robert Laird and my beloved wife Janet Laird her having one 
third of all my moveables and forty pounds more than any of these last 
mentioned and I do hereby make constitute and ordain my beloved wife Janet 
Laird and my trusty friend Robert Gibson hole and sole executors of this my 
last will hereby revoking all former wills, testaments, and executors by me 
made declaring this and none other to be my last will given under my hand and 
seal the twenty fourth day of March in the year of our Lord 1813.
