Will of DAVID W. LENHART, York County, Dover Borough, Pennsylvania Will, York County In the name of God Amen! I DAVID LENHART of the Borough of Dover, in the County of York and the state of Pennsylvania being in perfect health praised be God for the same, but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following: -- First. -- I direct that my body be decently interred in the cemetery of the Salem's church, in Dover township and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my station in life. My lot now owned by me in the cemetery shall be surrounded by an iron fence should the same not be done by me during my natural life. I also desire that a monument be placed in the aforesaid lot in form and manner like the one in the lot of SAMUEL ILGENFRITZ deceased. And as to such worldly estate as it has pleased God to intrust me with I dispose of the same as follows: -- I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. Item. -- I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife SARAH, my house and lot situate in the Borough of Dover, in which I now reside for and during her natural life; also as much house furniture as she may think proper to select, also two hogs or the meat of two hogs, if I own any at my decease. She shall also have grain sufficient for bread and to feed a few chickens and hogs for one year; also Five Hundred Dollars in money to be paid to her out of my real estate hereinafter mentioned by my Executors hereinafter mentioned. Item. -- I also direct that my plantation situate in Dover township, and the mountain land and the personal property be sold at public sale by my hereinafter named executors for the best price that can be had for the same and the proceeds arising from such sale to be divided as follows: -- The notes I hold against my son PETER, a sum total amounting to seven hundred and Eighty-one Dollars shall be deemed and taken as part of his share. The note I hold against my son HENRY B. amounting to Eight-Hundred and Ninety Dollars shall be deemed and taken as part of his share. The notes and book account I hold against my son JOHN a sum total amounting to Twenty-nine Hundred and Thirty-four Dollars and eight-teen cents shall be deemed and taken as part of his share. Item. -- I give and bequeath unto my grandchild LILLIE M. (STOUCH) GERBER Four Hundred Dollars to be taken out of the share of my daughter EMMA L. I order that equal shares be made to and amongst my five children, including said book account, notes and bequests hereinbefore mentioned. Item. -- In case my beloved wife SARAH should feel inclined to sell said bequeathed property and invests the money in some cheaper home she shall have the privilege to do so, and the balance in money remaining of such sale and purchase to be placed at interest by my hereinafter named executors and the interest to be paid to my said wife annually during her lifetime. And after the death of my said wife the property bequeathed to her or exchanged for another to be sold by my executors and the proceeds thereof to be equally divided to and amongst my five children or their heirs share and share alike. Item. -- I give and bequeath unto my grand child CALVIN S. LENHART, son of PETER LENHART Two Hundred Dollars to be paid out of the share of my son PETER LENHART. Item. -- And I do hereby authorize and empower my hereinafter named Executors to make deeds and titles to the purchaser or purchasers as fully and as amply as I myself might do if living. And lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint my son WILLIAM DAVID LENHART and HAMILTON HINKLE to be the Executors of this my last Will and Testament; and further it is my wish and desire that the provisions of this Will be carried out in a spirit of peace and harmony. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 31st day of January A.D. 1894.
