We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ In the Name of God Amen I Henry Lukenbach of Heidelberg Township York County and State of Pennsylvania, being Sick and weak in Body but of sound mind, memory and understanding praised be God for it, and considering the certainty of death an dthe uncertainty of the time thereof, and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this world, whenever it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make & declare this my last will and Testament in manner following that is to say, first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of almighty God my creator, hoping for free pardon and remission of all my sins, and to enjoy everlasting happiness in the heavenly kingdom, through Jesus Christ my saviour, my body I commit to the Earth at the discretion of my Executor herein after named first I give and Bequeath unto my beloved Wife Mary Lukenbach, befor hand, two Beds and Bedsteads one Chest with drawers, and all her clothes, and one Cow, and all the hay and secodn crop, further I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife twelve pair of Coffee cups, and six spoons, one large pewter plate, and the Stove in our house, further I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife our large washing Tub, and one little Tub and three chairs and our Table, and also all our spindel and flax and Tow, and also all our flower what we shall have by the time of my decease and also all our flax in the ground if we shall have any in at the time of my decease, and also all the rye which is soweth out at the same time aforesaid, and I give and bequeath unto my said Wife her Spinning Wheel and Reel Reel, and our Cradle, and I give to my said wife our kneaading trough and our pan and six straw baskets. Further I give and bequeath unto my said wife three pewter plates, and my coffee mill and also all the potoates what we have at the time of my decease, and firewood as much as she want for her own use during her widow hood and also our Iron Kettle and two Iron pots, and the Looking Glass and all the apples in the orchard, and I give and bequeath unto my said wife our ax and one hoe and all our sope, and one Iron Ladle and one Iron fork, and our tow hym books, and also our shovel and dung fork and further I give and bequeath unto my said wife two hogs, all the above said articles I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife for her own use during her widowhood, in case that after her decease or widowhood my will is that the above said articles shall be sold at the best price that cn be gotten, and the money thereout arising the one half thereof shall be paid to my two youngest daughters, or to their Bodily heirs and the remainder one half part shall be devided among all my other children share and share alike or to their Bodily heirs, And further my will is that all the remainder of my personal Estate whereof no mention or bequeaths is yet made that shall be sold to discharge all my debts if any, then if any surples then remains shall be paid in equal right to all my children share and share alike or to their bodily heirs, and concerning my lands that is to say my dwelling plantation whereon I now dwell situate in said Heidelberg Township York County aforesaid it being in two tracts and held under Warrant right, adjoining Lands of Henry Ebersold Mathias Moyer and others, I give and bequeath unto my said wife all my dwelling plantation, in the following maner that is to say my will is that my said wife shall have my land together with the house barn spring and springhouse and all other buildings thereon erected for her own use during her life or widowhood. And my will and meaning is that after her decease or Widowhood I intitle my Executor to sell th eabove said two tract of Land it contain about thirty seven acres more or less, together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging for the best price that can be gotten, And then the money thereout arising to go in equal share to all my children, And I intitle my executor herein after named, to execute sign seal and deliver a good deed of conveyance to the purchaser thereof which I allow and confirm to be as good and Lawfull as if my self had signed sealed and delivered the same, And I do make and appoint the said Henry Snyder to be my Executor of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four. Heinrich Luchenbach {Seal} Signed Sealed published and declared by me Henry Luckenbach the elder, as and for my last will and Testament in the presence of the subscriber witness whom I have called as to witness and desired that they should write there names thereunto as witness Michael Bucher Philip "X" Snyder York County SS: Before Me J.B. Wents Register for the probate of Wills and granting Letters of administration in and for the county of York and state of Pennsylvania personally came Michael Bucher and Philip Snyder subscribing witnesses to the within Instrument of writing and being duly Sworn and affirmed according to Law did declare and say that they were present and saw and heard Henry Luckenbach the Testator sign seal publish, pronounce and declare the within instrument of writing as and for his last Will and Testament, and that at the time of so doing he was of perfect and sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that they subscribed their names thereto as witnesses in the presence of the said Testator and at his request, and also in the presence of each other at the same time. Michael Bucher, affirmed Philip "X" Snyder, Sworn Sworn and affirmed & subscribed before me at York the 29th day of April A.D. 1824 J.B. Wents, Register A true Copy taken from and compared with the original at York. per J.B. Wents, Register Know all men by these presents that I Henry Snyder of Heidelberg Township in the County of York and State of Pennsylvania, the Executor named in the last will and Testament of Henry Lukenbach Senr. late of the Township County and State aforesaid have Renounced released and quit Claimed and by these presence Do Renounce release and quit clam all my right and title to the said Executorship and to the administration of the goods and chattles rights and credits which were of the said Henry Luckenbach deceased, and desire that the same may be committed to such person or persons as may be entitled thereto In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty eighth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four.
