All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ ________________________________________________ Testament & Last Will of Jacob Michael July 4, 1787 (abstract) "I Jacob Michael of York Township...yeoman, being well in body....Whereas I left unto my Children vizt Jacob, Maria Catharina, Johannes, Johann Wendel, Anna Otilia, Maria Elisabeth and Eva in Germany (which children I had with my Wife Maria Elisabeth dec'd) a Compentent Share and portion, I therefore give unto each of my aforenamed Children on Shilling Sterling which shall be in full of their and each and every of their Share..... I give.......unto my Son Johann Peter Michael......tract of land situated in York Township....adjoining Conrad Rugert and other land of mine containing one hundred acres...... unto my Son Jacob Michael and Johann Henrich Michael all....my plantation.....in York Township aforesaid whereon I now dwell Containing two hundred acres...... as long as their Mother Magdalena Elisabeth ( my Present Wife) lives....... until my aforesaid three sons shall from time to time arive to their respective Age of twenty one years or Day of Marriage....during her Widowhood..... Maintain and educate all the Minor Children....said wife Magdalena Elisabeth and my kiving friend Mathias Sitler to be Executors......tenth day of January in the Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty nine."
