I George MILLER of Manheim Township in the County of York and the state of Pennsylvania, Weaver, being sick and body but of a Sound and Disposing Mind and Memory blessed be the Almighty God for the Same, To and Publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say, FIRST, I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Mary her bed and bedstead and bed furniture that it may be called a good bed and also her spinning wheal and one Iron Pot and one Iron poker stewed and one Pewter Dish and two pewter plates and Six pewter spoons and larger Washing Tub and the Small Tub and one pail all those articles my said Wife shall have before hand of all, AND further my Said Wife Shall have all our Linen Cloth and all of the Spineed that we have for the use of the Family, AND then all the remainder of my personal Estate Shall be sold by way of Public Sale and then out of the same all my just debts in funeral charges Shall be paid and Discharged and then out of the Remainder (or from the remainder) my said Wife shall have one equal Third part for her share out of my Personal estate and then the other two shares shall be equally divided between all my children’s share in share alike, and concerning my Real Estate (that is to say) my lands and plantations whereon I now dwell Situate in Manheim Township aforesaid adjoining Lands of Jacob KOELLER and Ulrich HUBER containing about 167 acres more or less. So as the Same is unto me Granted under Warrant, and application, Rights, my Will is that after my decease my Executors hereinafter Named shall sell the same So as they shall think best either by private or public sale AND I, the before Named to George MILLER DO here by order and Impower my said Executors to execute sign, Seal and deliver, or Deed of Conveyance for the same to the purchaser thereof and that in as full and able a manner as the Same was unto me Granted and my Will further is that from all the Moneys that Shall be got for my Plantation my said Wife Shall have the one equal Third part thereof in full former Share and the remainder to be equally Divided between all my children’s share and share alike (that is to say) so as the money comes in my Wife shall always have one-third part thereof, but a case my said Wife Should get married again then she shall return that full one-half of all that Money that was paid to her from out of my plantation back again into my Estate which shall then be equally divided between all my children in manner as aforesaid, AND Lastly I do here to appoint and nominate my Trusty friend George PETERY and my brother Philip MILLER to be the Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. AND WITNESSES hereof I have here and to set my hand and seal this 13th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety Six (1796). And that at the time of the doing thereof he the said George MILLER was a sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best to their knowledge and belief; And that they subscribed their names thereunto as witnesses and in the presence of the said testator and at his request. And further that they also saw Anna Mary BER the other Witness make her Mark Thereto as a Witness at the same time.
