Mummert, late of Hanover Borough, York County, State of Pennsylvania, deceased. Know all men by these presents: - I, Joseph W. Mummert of Hanover, in the State of Penna. Being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, do make and declare this as my last will and testament, in manner and form following, to-wit: - If my daughter Mrs Annie Six takes care of me when I am sick she is to be paid what is fair and just for her services. After my death, all my just debts and funeral expenses are to be paid I Will devise and bequeath unto Joseph Slick my Gold Watch and chain. No books or pictures of mine are to be sold, but divided among my six Children in a fair and peaceful manner. My children can either divide my furniture and Bed clothes among themselves, or sell it, If they fail to agree upon division and sell my son Walter’s share is to be held in trust for him as hereinafter provided. I authorize my executors hereinafter mentioned to sell at Public Sale and Real estate that I may possess at time of my death, and to collect all money due and owing me, including all money deposited in any Bank or Trust Company. And from the proceeds of such sale and collections. After all expenses are paid, I Will devise and bequeath as follows: - To be divided equally between my Six children, share and share alike. And if any be dead leaving issue, said issue to receive their parents share. I order and direct that the share of my son Walter Mummert, if he cannot be located, be placed on interest in The Birnie Trust Company, Taneytown, Maryland, a body corporate of the State of Maryland, for the term of 10 years, and at the expiration of said Ten years, he is still not located, His share with accrued interest be then divided among my other Five children, and if any be dead leaving issue, said issue to receive their parents share. And lastly I do hereby appoint my Five Children, Mrs. Annie Six.
