All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Rosalie Sommer sommer@suscom.net February 25, 2006, 12:43 pm Source: York County Archives, York, Pennsylvania Written: April 13, 1788 Recorded: August 4, 1788 WILL William Reeghart, York Township, York County, Pennsylvania written 13 April 1788 In the Name of God Amen the thirteth Day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Eight I William REEGHART of York Township I the County of York and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania being very sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be given to the Lord I make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner following Viz FIRST I reicomand my body to Earth to be buried in a Christian Like and Decent means and as touching my Worldy Estate when with it hath pleased God to bless me I give and Dispose in the following manner viz: First I give and bequeath unto my wife Eva REEGART one cow and her bed and hr third of all the estate and that she Shall have liberty to live on the place as Long as Shee and her Children can agree or as long as she stays a widow and if the can agree no Longer of shee Shall marry than all the movables shall be sold and the plentation Shall be Sold at public vandue and thirty pounds Shall be Left to my Wife Eve Secondly I give and bequeath unto my oldest son John REEGHART fifteen pounds Thirdly I give unto my son Henry REEGHART ten pounds Fourthly after the full filing of the above articles that my children shall have an equal Shear in my whole Estate wishes to say John REEGHART Catharina REEGART Henry REEGHART Christian REEGART Conrad REEGART and I do make and ordain John REEGHART and my wife Eve REEGHART to be the Executors of this my Last Will and Testement in Witness whereof I have here unto Set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written. Register for the probate of Wills and Granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of York in the State of Pennsylvania, personally came Frederick Young and Jacob HESS two of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Testament of Writind and on their Solemn Oath, Do favorably say that they were personally present and saw and heard the within Names William RIEGER sign he Name unto and Seal and publish this foregoing Instrament of writing as and for his last WIll and Testament and that at the time of the doing thereof he the said William RICHER was of sound and disposing hand manner and understanding to the best of their knowledge of belief, and that they subscribed their names thereto as witnesses in the presence of the said Testator and at his Request, and farther that they also saw Jacob SHATLER the other witness sign his Name thereto as a Witness at the same time Sworn Subscribes at York the 4th Day of August 1788 before me J.
