Sep 1776) In the name of God Amen. I Theobald Shneider of Manheim Township, York. County and Province of Pennsylvania, Yeoman, being very sick in health of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God, calling unto mind the mortality of by my body, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, in manner following. I recommend my soul, in the hand of God Almighty, that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian like burial, at the discretion of my executors, and touching such worldly estate, wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give and devise and dispose of the same as follows. First I give and bequeath Susanna Margret my beloved wife the one-third part of my whole estate – real and personal, moveable and immovable estate. Also I give my oldest beloved son Theobald five pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania and to my son Henry four pounds lawful money besides the shares mentioned below, and I give to my eldest daughter Mary Martha, the wife of Jacob Roth two pounds and ten shillings lawful money aforesaid as her share of the whole estate and I give unto my daughter Margret the wife of Martin Shitz two pounds and ten shillings lawful money aforesaid as her portion and share of my estate to be raised and levied out of the estate, the lands to be rented away until my youngest son Henry is of full age and then it is to be sold and the money thereof as also the remaining estate to be shared and distributes as follows viz the one third part of the whole estate I give to my beloved wife as mentioned above the other two thirds to be equally shared and distributed amongst my three children Theobald, Henry, and Mary Elizabeth the wife of Nicholas Frengert (their heirs and assigns forever). I likewise constitute, and make and ordain Simon Clear and Jacob Clay my sole executors of this my last will and testament, and I do hereby utterly disallow and revoke all former testaments and wills, legacies and executors, ratifying and confirming, this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal, this twenty second day of June Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and seventy six. Signed sealed published his and declared by the said Theobald H Shneider Theobald Shneider as his Mark Last will and testament in the presence of us Henry Simund Christopher Reinnmann Baltimore County to wit on the 15th day of June 1784 came Henry Simund subscribing evidence to the aforegoing last will and testament of Theobald Shneider late of Mannheim Township, York County and province of Pennsylvania, Yeoman, deceased and made oath etc that he did see the Testator sign and seal this will that he heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of his apprehension of sound disposing mind memory and understanding and that he subscribed his name as witness at his request and in the presence of Christopher Raineman the other subscribing witness.
