All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Rosalie Sommer sommer@suscom.net October 3, 2005, 1:17 am Source: Will Book No 17, Page 67, York County Court House, York County, Pennsylvania Written: June 4, 1831 Recorded: March 21, 1834 WILL - WEBB, Richard Will Book No 17, page 67, York County Court House, York county Pennsylvania Last will and testament of Richard WEBB late of Fawn Township Deceased written 4 June 1831; proved March 21, 1834 Be it remembered that I Richard WEBB of the Township of Fawn County of York and State of Pennsylvania Being in good heath of body and sound and disposing mind and memory, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs which I have strength and capacity so to do, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at anytime heretofore made; FIRST I will and desire that my after named Executor do pay my funeral expenses, and all my just debts as soon as it may be conveniently done after my decease out of my Estate. THEN I give and bequesth to the heirs of my oldest son Moses WEBB (deceased) five dollars when called for after my decease, THEN, I give and bequeath to second son Jamie WEBB on his heirs five dollars to be paid by my Executor in two years after my decease. THEN I give and bequeath to my eldest daughter Mercy HUFF, my bed and bedding, case of drawers, one cow and three sheep, after my decease. THEN I give and bequeath to my third son Joseph WEBB one hundred dollars, one half to be paid two years, and the other half three years after my decease. ITEM. I give and bequeath to my second daughter Mary DAVIES fifty dollars to be paid four years after my decease. ITEM. I give and bequeath to my fourth son John WEBB one hundred dollars the one half to be paid five years and the other half to be paid six years, after my decease. ITEM. I give and bequeath to my fifth son Jesse WEBB one dollar to be paid when called for after my decease. ^^^ ITEM. I give and bequeath to my youngest son Richard WEBB all my plantation whereon I now dwell containing two hundred acres more or less with all the rights members and appurtenances, belonging thereto to him, his heirs and assigns forever. ALSO I give and bequeath to my son Richard WEBB aforesaid, all my stock of Horses, Cows, Sheep and swine, with my Waggon, and all my farming Utensils also my household and kitchen furniture and all the remaining part of my estate either real or personal. ITEM. I give and bequeath to my grandson Richard WEBB son of Richard WEBB Junior all the yearly rent of Fawn Grove to be paid to him his heirs or assigns after my decease yearly and every year for and during the term of the lease of ninety nine years renewable forever. ITEM. I give and bequeath to Fawn Meeting ten dollars to be paid one dollar yearly until the whole is paid, after my decease. LASTLY, I nominate, constitute and appoint my son Richard WEBB my whole and sole Executor of this my last will and testament, hereby, revoking all other Wills legacies and bequeath by me heretofore made, declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament. Before me Michael Doudel Register for the probate of wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of York in the State of Pennsylvania, came William W. VANSANT and Joseph BENNETT two of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will and on their solemn affirmation taken according to law do severely say that the were personally present and saw and heard Richard WEBB the Testator sign his name unto and seal publish pronounce and declare said instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament and that at the time of the doing thereof the said Richard WEBB the testator was of a sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that the subscribed their names in the presence of each other and in the presence of Asa JONES the other witness named in the will and at the request of the said testator. Affirmed and subscribed before me March 25th AD 1834 Wm. W VANSANT Joseph BENNETT ----------- MEMORANDUM. That LETTERS TESTAMENTARY on the within and foregoing will were granted to Richard WEBB the Executor of this 21 day of March AD 1834 He having first been duly qualified to well and truly administer the goods and chatles rights and credits of said deceased according to law.
