End of The Cover Sheet In the Name of God Amen the Sixth day of September in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninetyeight I Peter Will in County of york and State of pensylvania finding myself weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to god Therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appropriate for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say I give and Recommend my soul to god that gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian like and decent Manner at the direction of my Executors not doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the Same again by the almighty power of god and as tacking such worldly Estate as it hath pleased god to bleSs me with in this life I give devise and dispose of the Same in the following Manner and form first I give to my son Henry my plantation I now live on to him his heirs and aSigns forever only reserving to my other children their shears that is he is to have the place at three hundred pounds and he shall have a share with the rest of my children of that sum and he is to pay thirty pounds a year and that yearly and the first date comes due in a years time after my decease and then from year to year till all is paid and the eldest children receives their shears first and so on to the yungest and my eldest son Nicholas I give five pounds more than one of the rest but as I have paid him thirty pounds which I have his bond he is to have that in his Share to my dauter catarine to peter my second son Next his share and so all the rest of my children according to their beirth right to be raised and levied out of my Estate together with my house hold goods and movebles and I likewise do appoint John Kuhn and Henry Fink my sole Executors and no other person mentioned heretofore and I do hereby utterly disanull all and every other former testaments wills heretofore by me made ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in witneSs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written Signed, Sealed pronounce by the said Peter Will to be his last will his mark Peter X Will and testament before us the Subscribers hereto viz Jacob Adams Joseph Sneeringer York County Pa Before me Jacob Barnitz Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of York in the State of Pennsylvania personally Came Jacob Adams and Joseph Sneeringer the Two Subscribing witneSes to the foregoing instrument of ,(a crossed- out word) Writing, and on their Solemn Oaths, Do severally say, that they were Personally Present and saw & heard the above named Peter Will make his mark unto and Publish the foregoing Instrument of Writing as and for his Last Will and Testament, and that at the time of his doing thereof that the said Peter Will was of a Sound and disposing Mind, Memory and Understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief ; And that they subscribed their names thereto as WitneSes in the presence of the said Testator and at his request and also in the presence of each other at the same time.
