Amen I George Witright of Dover Borough York County Pa. being in good health and body and of sound and disposing memory praised be God for the same, and being desirous to settle my wordly affairs while I have the strength and ability and capacity so to do. Do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at anytime hereto made. And, as to such wordly estates wherewith it has pleased God to intrust me with I dispose of the same as follows: My desire is that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life and that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my Executor herein after named as soon after my decease as possible and as to my Real Estate and personal property I dispose of the same as following: First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Louisa all my real estate and personal property which I now have and possess in the Borough of Dover Pa. for her own use and that she can dispose of it as she may thing proper and best, and further my will and desire is that my farm or plantation situated and located in Dover Township York County Pa. adjoining lands of Abraham HERSHEY, Samuel GROVE, Lewis RUPERT & others containing sixty eight acres more or less: shall be sold by my Executor as soon after my decease as conveniently may be either private or public sale as he may thing best. But, my will and desire is that no dower shall remain in the farm for the use of my widow but in lein thereof their shall remain an amenity of one thousand dollars in the farm of wich the interest of five percent the purchaser shall pay to my widow annually during her lifetime, the first payment of the interest to be made on or before the second April comming after my decease. After her death the principal to my children or their heirs share & share alike. My track of land containing eleven acres more or less, north east from Dover and fronting on Canal Street shall also be sold by my Executor as soon as maybe advisable by him. But my will is without any dower remaining in the same for my widow. All the mountain or timberland that I own in my own right shall also be sold after my decease either private or public sale as may be deemed best by my Executor & my will is no dower shall remain in the same for my widow, the timberland that I and John NEIMAN own as partners the same shall also be sold either in private or public to the best advantage that my Executors and John NEIMAN or his assigns can agree upon and to effectuate this my intention. I do hereby vest in my Executor full power & authority to dispose of my real and personal Estate (not otherwise directed) without any appraisment or decree or order from court first taken that he shall have the same & full power and manner in every respect as I would have myself if living and further that my Executor is impowered by me to ____ good & undesputable title or deeds for the same, and after all my real estate or personal is disposed of the money so realized from the same shall be equally divided to my children or their heirs so that my children are all _____ equal. Share & share alike, bud I hold a note for two hundred dollars against my son Eli WITRIGHT wich amount of interest at five percent shall be deducted from his share of inheritence. And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my son in law William SUNDAY to be my Executor of this my last will and testament in witness theirof I the said testator have to this my only will and testament sed my hand and seal this 22 day of Oct 1889. Before me Edward STRUCK register for the probate of wills and granting letters testamentory and of administrations in and for the said county personally appeared Samuel H. AUGHENBAUGH and Solomon S. AUGHENBAUGH the subscribing witnesses the foregoing Last Will and Testament who upon being duly qualified according to law doth despose and say that they were present and saw and heard George WITRIGHT late of Dover Borough York County P. deceased the testator sign, seal publish pronounce and declare the within and foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament and at the same time of his so doing he the testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that they witnessed the same at the request of the testator and in his presence and in the presence of each other. affirmed and subscribed to before me on this 14 day of June A.D. 1890 Edward STRUCK Register of Wills Memorandam George WITRIGHT the said decedent died on the 21st day of April A. D. 1890 on or about 6 o'clock PM of said day as per affidavit of Death Book No 6, page 5. Filed on the 14th day of June A. D. 1890. Letters Testamentory on the foregoing Will of George WITRIGHT deceased were granted to William C. SUNDAY the Executor named in the said Will after being duly qualified according to law on the 14th day of June A.D. 1890. George Witright is the grandson of George Witterecht/Witright/Whitright (circa 1750-1802) of Manchester Township, York County and Susanna KREBER (7-Mar 1753- 1825) George Witright is the great-grandson of Michael Witterecht (ca 1750-1793) of Manchester Township, York County and Magdalena Unknown George Witright married Louisa Unknown (1822-27 Aug 1902) Buried in Lenhart Gerber Cemetery, Salem Church Children of George and Louisa Witright 1.
