Satisfactory evidence is adduced in Court that Phineas Brand late of said town of Coventry died on or about the ...day of …AD 1813, and that the following named persons are the only surviving children, and heirs at Law of said Phineas Brand, viz. Simeon Brand, Thankful Carr and Hannah Gorton, all of said Coventry, and that now said children are over twenty one years of age. And that satisfactory evidence is adduced in Court that said Phineas Brand, was the identified person who served by that same name as a private in Capt. William Battey’s Company and 25th Regt. of Infantry in the war declared by the United States against Great Britain on the 18th June 1812.
