Narragansett- Illare Zanella, 83 of 30 Kingstown Rd, senior baker at the 
University of Rhode Island, retiring in 1964 after 30 yrs employment, died 
yesterday at kent County Memorial Hospital.  He was the husband of the late 
Emma (Blanchard) Zanella.

Born in Hoboken, NJ, he was the son of the Late Giovanni and Giuseppina 
(Lucchin) Zanella and lived in Narragansett for 30 yrs, moving from Shannock.

Mr. Zanella was a member of the narragansett Senior Citizens.

He leaves 3 sons, Louis J., John H., and Arthur P., a sister Inez Vellucci of 
Johnston, 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 am from the Forbes Funeral Home, 28 
Columbia St., Wakefield, with a mass of christian burial at St Thomas More 
Church, Rockland Street, at 10.  Burial will be in St Francis Cemetery, Peace 
Dale.
