I last visited the site in 1997. The following inscriptions were copied in 1994. There was quite a bit of deterioration in the interval. Four sided monument approximately 7 feet tall: Side #1 John Power, Jr, Born Dec. 29th 1794, Died August 12th 1852 Side #2 Jane D. Power. Born May 11th 1798, Died October 3rd 1859 Side #3 Our Father and Mother, They Sleep In Jesus Side #4 (Blank) Large Flat Marker Sacred In the Memory of Maj. Henry F. Power Who Departed this Life The 16th of March 1856 In the 59th year of his age _____And affable in his manners, retiring in his deportment, sound in his judgement and faithful and true in his friendship he died a member of the Methodist E. church, south in peace and triumph "Lo! The prisoner is released Lightened of his fleshy load Where the (ho)ly are at rest, He is gathered (un)to God! Lo! The ----of life is past, All his warfare (n)ow is o'er: Death and Hell (b)ehind are cast, Grief and suffering are no more." Two small and broken stones: John A Martin, Esta W.
