JAMES ARMSTRONG 
Of South Carolina

   James Armstrong, whose name appears on the list of invalid pensioners of
Abbyville District South Carolina, was a private, service unknown. His pension
commenced November 15, 1811, at $60 per annum and was increased to $96 per annum
on April 24, 1816. There are no other data on file in regard to the soldier
owing to the destruction of papers in pension claims when the British burned the
City of Washington in 1814.
