Dear Brother, Thro mercy we are all well and do most prayerfully hope this will reach you and your family enjoying lifes great blessing we refer you to John for particularly Dear Brother the bearer of this, viz John T. Nash, our son is hereby authorized and fully empowered by us as legatees of the estate of said John Lindsay, Snr. deceased to recover our legacy and part of the said estate of John Lindsay deceased and to make full and final settlement with you as acting executor of said estate as may be possible and to receipt to you accordingly, which shall and will be satifactory to us. Therefore, dear brother, we expect and wish you to fully compenstate yourself for your trouble, also receive and pay yourself out fo said legacy any demand or account which you may have up to this time against our son, Abner A. Nash, and any account he may be owing in the neighborhood, also reserve to yourself out fo said legacy what you may reauire and think the marc worth, which John brought to this country, when out last the creature has been and is yet an expense to us, she cannot be rode or used: her hoof is coming off after the foregoing deductions if any please pay over the remainder to John T. Nash and his receipt will and shall be valid and good as given by ourselves and in so doing you will much and ever oblige ever lovig and affections to brother and sister.
