These were Benjamine Glover Turner, the young white man who was convicted of manslaughter, in the killing of his step-father, and sentenced to serve seven years, Mabel Hackett, a negro women who was convicted for manslaughter in the killing of another negro women and sentenced to serve ten years, and Jake Etheredge, a negro man, convicted of assault with intent to rape his seven year old step daughter, and sentenced to serve fifteen years. Note: Benjamin Glover Turner's step father was Riley Johnson who at the time was married to Alice Helen Glover ( Ben's mother).
