The following card, address "To Whom It May Concern," is taken from Highlands, N.C., Enterprise: Sims, has deserted my bed and board without any just cause or provocation, you will therefore take notice that I will not be responsible for any debt she may contract in my name or on my account. "W.S. Sims." W.S. Sims will be remembered as Dr. Sims who was arrested on the charge of subjecting his wife to some terrible outrage in Graniteville, S.C., and was brought to Columbia to escape falling into the hands of Judge Lynch. When arraigned for trial in this city his wife declined to testify against him and the prisoner was discharged from custody. Dr. Sims and his wife subsequently resumed their relations to each other, and recently he had another trial in North Carolina, it is stated, his wife being the plaintiff, in which the jury brought in a verdict for Dr. Sims. The Enterprise says Mrs. Sims has returned to her home in this State. -Columbia Register. Citizens of Aiken county cognizant of the facts connected with Dr. Sim's offence against his wife in this county will experience no surprise at reading that Mrs. Sims has returned to her home in this State. The only wonder is that she should have ventured to resume her relations as his wife after her previous terrible experiences.
