Mr. W.F. Cochran, the present postmaster of Graniteville, has resigned., Miss 
Thorpe is now performing the duties of the office, and we sincerely trust she may 
receive the appointment. She is familiar with the duties of the office and 
thoroughly competent in every way. The Postmaster General cannot make a more 
acceptable appointment.
