The Aiken Recorder 2 Feb 1886 February 2, 1886
Mr. Walter Scott, who has been a resident of Aiken county for twenty years, has 
sold his farm "the Old Purvis Place" to Mr. B.W. Moseley for $2500, and will move 
his family to Fairfield, his native county, on Wednesday February 10th. Mr. Scott 
has purchased a farm in Fairfield county, and will move to the same house in which 
he was born. He is a quiet unobtrusive and respectable citizen and we wish him 
happiness and prosperity in all his undertakings.
