The Edgefield Advertiser says that Thomas L. Stalnaker, who escaped from the 
Georgia chain gang two years ago, has been captured in this County and will be 
returned to the Georgia authorities. Stalnaker is a white man, about sixty years 
old, and was serving a life sentence for murder committed in Waynesboro, Georgia, 
about eight years ago. He is a native of Edgefield County.
