On Thursday last the body of John Wannamaker, colored, a trial Justice and 
politician under the Radical regime, was found dead in a well in the town of St. 
Matthews. While drunk he had fallen into this well eleven days before, parties 
using the water in the meanwhile. The offensiveness of the water led to the 
discovery of the body.
