It is supposed that he was killed by an engine, as he was found near the railroad track with a bottle of whiskey by his side. Two trial justices and two sets of jurymen were summoned to hold an inquest, one from Graham’s and one from Bamberg. The latter, however, waived their right, and the inquest was held by the former. The decision of the jury was that the deceased came to his death by being run over by an engine.
